USU Uintah Basin Summer Workshop Combines Adventure with Learning
Apr 1, 2009
A workshop offered this summer by USU Uintah Basin Regional Campus combines the opportunity to earn college credit with the prospect of travel and adventure.
Students who enroll in the Writing on Rivers workshop (ENGL 4630), taught June 15-20, will read essays, stories, and poems by American writers on the subject of rivers and after a day-long raft trip on the Green River will be encouraged to produce their own creative accounts of their experience of the river.
Students completing the workshop will earn three hours of undergraduate or graduate English credit, while public school teachers can earn points towards recertification. Enrollment is limited, so those interested should register at once.
