
History Minor

This program is available at the Uintah Basin Campus via the following Instruction Type(s):
Courses are delivered via state of the art video conferencing technology. Students meet at a designated time and location.
Requirements
Every student must complete one of the following courses in Premodern History:
- Hist. 1500 Cultural and Economic Exchange in the Pre-Nineteenth Century World
- Hist. 1100 Foundations of Western Civilization: Ancient and Medieval
- Hist. 1060 Introduction to Islamic Civilization
Every student must complete one of the following courses in Modern History:
- Hist. 1510 The Modern World
- Hist. 1110 Foundations of Western Civilization: Modern
Every student must complete one of the following in American History:
- Hist. 2700 United States to 1877
- Hist. 2710 United States 1877-Present
Electives: Students must complete an additional 9-12 credits of course work in the 3000-4000 level history courses. No student may count more than 12 lower division credits toward the minor.

A minor in History at Utah State University requires 21 credit hours (24 credit hours for a teaching minor). A minor is helpful in areas such as Psychology, Secondary Education with a teaching major and other majors. A grade of C must be earned in all History classes used for the minor.
