
Personal Financial Planning Certificate
The online certificate program in personal financial planning at Utah State University is designed for working professionals who want to meet the educational requirement to sit for the CFP® Certification Examination (for a summary of requirements, see www.cfp.net/become/Steps.asp). It is also designed to prepare students for success in the profession of personal financial planning. The program is registered with theCFP® Board of Standards. The five courses in the program cover the 89 topics required by the CFP® Board plus additional topics. Upon completion of the five courses, students should complete a review course, then sit for the exam. Working professionals will be most successful if they register for one course at a time on an independent study basis.
