This online program is designed to prepare students for successful careers serving individuals and families across the life span and to help students achieve fulfilling family relationships in their own lives. Students study how human development, family relationships, family economics, and consumer issues affect the individual and the family.

Requirements
Courses are delivered online utilizing cutting-edge instructional design for effective distance learning. Students may choose how many credits to complete each semester, allowing them to complete the program at a comfortable pace that accommodates their lifestyle.
Students desiring to major in this program complete 12 credits of pre-major coursework, 24 credits of core coursework, and nine credits in each of the following areas: consumer sciences, family relations, and human development.

The Department of Family, Consumer, and Human Development offers online coursework leading to a bachelor’s degree in family life studies.
This online program will prepare students for successful careers serving individuals and families across the lifespan and help students achieve fulfilling family relationships in their own lives. Students study how human development, family relationships, family economics, and consumer issues affect the individual and the family.
